WHICH KIND OF EUROPE
FOR THE FUTURE ?
08-10 FEBRUARY /2017

Europe of insiders; Europe of extremes; Europe of crises; Europe of metropolises; Europe of finance... Are those the kinds of Europe we really want: a ran-down ideal which is not in adequacy with the realities of European territories any more? Of course, LIKE wants to be at the heart of Europe ; but what kind of Europe are we really talking about?

For the first event of its [R]evolution; in the perspective of the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaty and the publication of the White Book on the Future of Europe by President of the European Commission Mister Juncker, LIKE settles down in Brussels to make an inventory of Europe’s crises - economic, democratic, political and cultural. Crises shall not destroy Europe, but encourage supporters of the European ideal to re-think the foundations of our community of nations. Indeed: it is not enough to jump on our chairs like goats and shout «Europe»; if we want a Europe of Culture, we had better start and cultivate the idea of Europe.
